Lovona is a watercolor artist who refers to herself as a "late bloomer" to the art
world. While earning a degree in psychology, Lovona discovered her love of art during
an elective design class. Her inner desire to develop her skills was the beginning of
a creative journey and a lifelong love affair with her craft.
She has 20 years of teaching experience in her Virginia gallery, elementary schools,
high schools, colleges and museums. Lovona now calls Acworth, Georgia her home.
Her new Acworth Gallery is "a dream come true".
Lovona's goal is to provide art classes filled with excitement and creativity for
children and adults. She believes knowledge of art principles and design elements
and skillful drawing are keys to successful artwork. More importantly, the process
of creating artwork increases a student's ability to learn in creative ways, which
increases competence and confidence to think through and communicate ideas effectively.
These are essential qualities required to succeed in our fast-paced and ever-changing world.
